Corry Chapter: American Red Cross

Volunteers Needed!

The volunteers and staff of Corry Chapter American Red Cross are committed to supporting the community through a variety of services:

  • Disaster response
  • CPR plus other health and safety training
  • Blood collection services
  • Armed Forces Emergency Services
  • International services
  • Transportation assistance

Serving Corry, and Concord, Columbus, Spring Creek & Wayne township.

Weather experts are predicting 2012 will be a busy year for storms.  The Red Cross has responded to areas in the Midwest, South and Southeastern Michigan which have all ready been affected by severe weather including tornadoes.  Disaster team members are providing shelter, food, water, and other necessities, as well as mental health services to victims.

Take precautions to protect yourself and your family.  A tornado watch means tornadoes are possible in the area.  People should be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued or someone suspects a tornado is approaching.  A tornado warning means a tornado has been sighted or indicated on radar.  People should immediately go underground to a basement, storm cellar or interior room of the house.  Visit the preparedness section of the Red Cross web site for more tornado safety information.
