ANNUAL REPORT
FY 2006-2007

THE MISSION OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Principles of the International Red Cross movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and Help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to Emergencies.

SERVICES PROVIDED FY 05-06
Disaster Services

7  Families were assisted after fires.
The Chapter distributed numerous brochures
on Disaster Preparedness.

Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES)
15  Military families were helped with emergency communications

Social Services
163 Veteran & Civilian families were helped with various needs: Rent, prescription, utilities etc.
748 passengers were transported to medical appointments.
Volunteer drivers worked 855 hours.  
38 children received winter boots.
   

Health & Safety Services    
Over 646 people were trained in lifesaving skills. This includes all the fourth graders certified in BAT.

Blood Services
The Chapter held 6 Blood Drives, collected over 350 units of life saving blood.
