Here he is at only 6 weeks old. Excuse the dirt, and he was already in need of a trim on the back.

When Spot of Gold was only 2 weeks old, his dam had a twisted intestine. She went to the hospital for 8 days, and survived. While she was gone, he had to learn to drink milk from a bucket. When she came home from the equine hospital, she would not accept him back. So I had to raise him myself. He consumed 6 gallons of milk a day from age 3 months to 6 months. We made daily trips to the grocery store for milk. You can imagine the strange looks I got from people, with 6 gallons of milk in my cart everyday. People would look at me and say, "Got Milk?".
