These pictures
were taken about 1945. Today there is no tower and only one
hand thrown switch no signals .
It was located 4.6 miles east of Corry Pa and 56.2 miles west of Salamanca NY.
This is were the Columbus & Erie or C&E line and the Erie's original line separated. The C&E goes around the hill through Lottsville, PA and the old line goes over the hill
through Bear Lake Pa
the C&E starts at NEjct Niobe NY and ends at CMjct mp 13.2
The old line was 9.2 miles long from NEjct to CMjct
The old line track has been taken up.
There is only one hand throughen switch left.

Lottsville Pa

This was a manual block station at MP 5 on the C&E 5 miles west of NE jct
notice the block signals and the hand car. This picture was taken about 1929
before the automatic signals.

Eastbound trains picked up a full crew brakeman here because of the NY
State Full Crew Law requiring an extra brakeman on all trains with over 25 cars
